Meraki was inspired by my own experience. I found myself wanting to make a transition but without clarity about what to do next. I noted a gap in resources for women like me facing seismic transitions in many areas of life at once, at a particular stage of life and work.

In my research with other women, I heard that while there was an overload of information on the web, it was difficult to sift through it all to find trusted information relevant to the questions and challenges we women are facing. I also recognized, and felt this myself, a reluctance to admit that despite long careers and decades of life experience, we still don’t have it all figured out.

What emerged is a need for a safe, curated place to be curious, explore vetted resources and find community. That need resonated with women across geographies, careers, ages, relationships and socioeconomic backgrounds. From there, Meraki was born.
